Terms of Service for Atlanta Promove (APM) are as follows:
APM Packing: We highly recommend our packing service. We would be happy to arrange a professional packing crew for you.
Elevators: Be sure to contact your building supervisor to reserve the elevator and have it padded for the day of your move. Also, note any time restriction that might apply.
Content of Drawers: The content of all desk and drawers must be removed. Lateral and fireproof file cabinets must be emptied.
Hanging Clothes/Loose Items: Clothes on hangers, toys, and miscellaneous items must be in boxes. If items are not in boxes items will not be moved.
Appliances: Empty the contents of your refrigerator and freezer. Due to licensing and liabilities, we cannot disconnect or reconnect any gas appliance. Upon request, the movers may disconnect or reconnect your dryer (except gas). APM is not responsible of damage to plumbing, electrical systems, or for water damage associated with the connection or disconnection of washers, dryers and ice makers.
Cleanliness: Our Movers reserve the right to refuse to move dirty items. Our moving truck, pads, and equipment must be kept clean for our next customer.
Safety: Due to licensing and liabilities, our movers cannot transport flammable liquids, firearms, drugs, or explosives, or tanks or containers for gasoline or propane. Fuel tanks for lawn equipment, garden tractors and etcetera must be emptied prior to your move. Our staff has the right to refuse a move due to animals being present or children that may interfere with the moving process or the safety of our staff.
Parking: Reserve ample parking for the truck. Be sure to have the parking area and walkways clear of snow and ice, as well as other obstructions. If new construction, it is your responsibility to provide a clean access path to your home or office (plywood, etc.). If parking meters, they must be capped. APM trucks are not permitted to park or drive through grass, park on slopes or hills. It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure a clear drive path is available before the movers arrive to your destination (including but not limited to all trees and vehicles). Time will not be adjusted due to movers needing to walk up/down steep driveways, hills, paths, or flights of stairs.
Arrival Times: Time of arrival is approximate, depending on earlier jobs in the day and unexpected circumstances. No discounts will be given if the movers are late, but we will inform you by phone of the arrival time if it differs substantially from the estimated time. Reasons for being late include traffic and previous moves that run over the estimated time. If our movers have to wait for you to arrive at a location more than five (5) minutes, your time will start when the movers arrive and/or your rate will be null, void, and automatically go to regular rate $139/hour (up to management’s discretion).
Bad Weather: The move will continue during bad weather. If the movers deem the weather is too bad to continue and stop temporarily, you will not be charged for “down time.” If you decide the weather is too bad and ask them to temporarily stop the move, you will be charged the hourly rate, even though the movers are not working.
Actual Cost of Move: The estimate is based on information given to us. The estimate advises you of the approximate cost and enables us to arrange the mover’s schedule. The estimate is based on your home being packed and ready to move. The actual charge will reflect the exact time spent on your move, any extras, boxes, packing supplies. The travel charge may increase based on how far we travel outside our normal service area.
Additional Stops: Additional stops are subject to a charge of $50. There are additional charges of $50 for being over 15 miles outside the service area.
Payment: Payment is due fifteen (15) minutes before completion of the move. Payment can be made by cash only.
Cancellations: If you cancel less than 72 hours of your move, or if our Movers arrive and for any reason, you cannot move at the scheduled time, you will pay a $75.00 cancellation fee.
You’re are billed from the time we arrive at your location and time stops when payment is in hand of workers and paid in full.
Damages: Although our movers will be as careful as possible, from time to time damages may occur. If damage is caused by our services, Atlanta Promove, LLC reserves the right to repair the damage(s) in question. If we determine that damage cannot be repaired, we reserve the right to either replace or compensate based upon the company's judgment. If there is damage, notify your movers immediately and send a detailed email to firstname.lastname@example.org (be sure to include all evidence you may have including pictures, etc.). No damage claims will be honored until the charges for moving services have been paid in full. Insurance includes $0.60 per pond for any damages we aren't able to replace or compensate. Damages caused while loading or unloading your truck or storage unit: Atlanta Promove, LLC is only responsible for items in our immediate care, custody, and control. It is our company policy for all items to be protected by pads and stretch wrap for company liability. If items are not wrapped we will not be able to move you.
Excluded Items: There are some items we will not accept as part of the move. Some of these items are forbidden by law and others are outside our liability limits. Jewelry, art, glass items, drugs or medication, stock certificates, and cash will be refused as part of the move (please have these items in a secure place during the duration of your move). We will not be liable for any lost or damaged items. DO NOT include them in boxes or other sealed containers that you give us to move. Ammo, fuels, and some chemicals will also be refused as per US DOT law. If you have questions, please ask.
Every move is unique and different from the number of items one has to the make of one’s home. We do not guarantee any move can be done in any amount of time—we can only give you an estimated time. If you have an item that will not fit at your new location, Atlanta Promove, LLC is not responsible for the disposal of the item and there will be an additional fee to relocate to different location.
Deposit: There is $25 hold on your credit card to secure your move date. When we arrive to your location the $25 hold will be released. There is a $250 cash deposit due upon company's arrival on the day of your move. At the end of your move, the movers will return any remaining money back to you after deducting the total amount due. (Example: If your total bill is $175 at the end of the move the mover will deduct $175 from the $250 cash deposit and return $75 (remaining cash deposit). All deposits are still due even if you have purchased a voucher of any sort.
Delivery services are only for pick up and drop off. Assembly is not included in delivery services. Someone must be at the pick up location to complete paper work and have deposit for workers.
All moves have at least a three (3) hour minimum unless otherwise stated in confirmation email or you have a confirmed flat rate in a confirmation email. Minimum meaning you have to pay for at least three (3) hours of service even if it takes the movers less time.
Movers are not allowed to take orders from a landlord or property owner that is not on the signed contract. If there is a discrepancy, the Lead Worker will discuss options with Customer and contact the office if needed.
End of move: At the end of your move it is the Customer’s responsibility to do a final walk through of the home with the Lead Worker to ensure every item is in same condition as before APM arrived to your home. If the Customer notices any damages it is his or her responsibility to make movers aware of the situation, so it can be documented before movers leave their location and sign off on final paperwork and they can contact the office immediately.
By submitting your deposit you do agree to all of the terms and conditions.
